Professional Background

Marilee Rackow is the Chief Administrative Officer of McDonald Carano. She brings over 15 years of experience building high functioning, healthy teams internally that allow attorneys to focus on their clients and the practice of law.  Making a move from California’s Bay Area, she joined the firm in part because of its culture, sophistication, and reputation.

In her role as CAO, Ms. Rackow will focus on administrative structure and operations, partnership agreements, compensation, and staff development. She is particularly committed to diverse hiring practices including the mentorship and sponsorship of women and diverse attorneys.  She is also dedicated and proud to further McDonald Carano’s legacy as a firm where attorneys can build long-term careers.

Throughout her career at several high-profile law firms, Ms. Rackow successfully guided firms through fiscal and cultural turnarounds, developed firm infrastructure to support multi-year strategic plans efficiently and increased top-line revenue.  With an eye towards strategic planning, she is particularly skilled in organizational effectiveness, financial analysis, professional recruiting and legacy building.
