Professional Background
Katrina Weil is an attorney in McDonald Carano’s Reno office whose practice focuses on commercial and complex litigation, appellate advocacy, and trust, estate, and fiduciary disputes. She represents clients in sophisticated business and civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts, with experience handling all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, hearings, and appellate briefing.
Katrina’s litigation experience includes complex business disputes, appellate litigation, high-stakes civil matters, and sophisticated trust and fiduciary disputes, including contested and high-value trust disputes. She has substantial experience drafting and arguing dispositive and pretrial motions, including motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, and discovery-related motions, as well as managing complex discovery and document review processes. Her practice also includes matters involving contested trusts and estates, fiduciary duties, and disputes concerning the administration and protection of assets.
In addition to her litigation practice, Katrina brings a strong business perspective to her work. Hardesty of the Nevada Supreme Court, where she prepared bench memoranda, conducted extensive legal research, and assisted in drafting appellate orders and opinions for both judicial panels and the court en banc.
