Jonah Gavish

Jonah Gavish is an Associate in the Las Vegas office of McDonald Carano. He is a member of the Business Entities & Transactions Practice Group and Real Estate & Land Use Practice Group.

Jonah’s experience in the legal profession includes serving as a Law Clerk in the Las Vegas office of McDonald Carano, a Law Clerk in the Las Vegas office of a national law firm, and a Legal Extern for the Honorable Judge Bonnie A. Bulla of the Nevada Court of Appeals where he assisted in case research and drafting bench memoranda. His law firm experience includes conducting legal research, analyzing cases, drafting legal documents, observing proceedings, reviewing briefs and records to verify facts and background of cases, preparing memos summarizing case facts and applicable laws, and assisting with preparation for arbitrations, mediations, and courtroom proceedings. He also assisted with a diverse range of business litigation and transactions for high-net-worth businesses and business owners.

Jonah’s legal training includes certification from the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution at the William S. Boyd School of Law for completing a 40-hour Mediation Training program that covered conflict theory and negotiation methods, as well as the mediation process, techniques, and ethics. The program included first-hand learning through simulation exercises. Jonah also worked as a Pro-Bono Bankruptcy Course Instructor through Boyd School of Law’s community service program and received the Outstanding Student Award. During law school, Jonah also taught as a Hebrew school teacher at Temple Sinai. Jonah speaks English, Hebrew, and Spanish.

Jonah incorporates business insights and perspectives into his legal work from the M.B.A. he earned from UNLV. While obtaining his B.A., Jonah’s business experience included serving as a part-time Mortgage Loan Originator for a residential real estate company where he worked with homeowners, home buyers, agents and brokers, lenders, and servicers.
