David Dazlich has nearly 15 years of experience in government relations, legislative advocacy, policy development, strategic communications, and community engagement.
He provides clients with a unique perspective drawn from a comprehensive range of positions he has held, including Vice President of Government Affairs for the Colorado Springs Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (2022-2024), Director of Government Affairs for the Vegas Chamber (2019-2022), Deputy Director of Government Affairs for the Building Industry Association of Southern California (2017- 2019), and Project Manager for lobbying, legislative and political projects at an oil and gas industry consulting firm. Dave has also served as Policy Director for ballot initiatives, Campaign Manager and Field Director for numerous candidates, and a Legislative Aide for the Colorado General Assembly.
Dave is very familiar with state legislative processes and has established a successful record of developing effective relationships with elected officials, regulatory agencies, industry experts, and coalitions of stakeholders. He guides clients throughout all stages of the legislative process, including advocacy, lobbying, monitoring and tracking bills, building coalitions, developing strategy, and advising on political affairs.
Dave served as the primary representative for the Vegas Chamber and the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce at State Legislative Sessions and with local governments and regulatory bodies. He also managed both Chambers’ roles in local and regional coalitions, provided analysis of legislative and local policy matters, and prepared presentations and testimony. For the Building Industry Association of Southern California, Dave’s scope of responsibility included representing the association before county, regional and municipal governing bodies, monitoring over 90 government jurisdictions for items impacting association members, and tracking candidates and ballot initiatives across the region.
David has also served on leadership teams in public-private partnerships established to address significant community issues. For example, the Pikes Peak Housing Network was created as a collaborative connector to foster innovative solutions that advance housing affordability, access, and production in the Pikes Peak Region in Colorado Springs. PPHN was founded by the Affordable Housing Collaborative, Apartment Association of Southern Colorado, Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs, Housing & Building Association, and Pikes Peak Realtors Association. PPHN’s work is overseen by a Leadership Council that included Dave in his position as Vice President of Government Affairs for Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC.
Dave has substantial experience representing clients’ interests at all levels of government and advising on the creation and execution of a winning strategy for legislative, regulatory, and political goals and priorities. He helps clients develop and deliver their political and policy messages to the essential leaders in government, business, and the community.
