Supreme Court Appoints Chelsea Latino to Board of Bar Examiners
McDonald Carano congratulates Chelsea Latino on her appointment by the Supreme Court of Nevada to the Board of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of Nevada. The 14-member Board writes and grades the bar examination questions and oversees the administration of the two bar examinations and the Committees related to the bar application and admission process. Eight members are appointed by the Supreme Court and six members are appointed by the State Bar Board of Governors.
The Board of Bar Examiners works closely with the Supreme Court and the Board of Governors in formulating rules and procedures for admission to the State Bar of Nevada. Board members meet twice a year to draft, review and finalize bar exam questions and answers, finalize the grading of bar exams and make recommendations to the Supreme Court on policy matters relating to the bar exam and admissions. More information about the Board of Bar Examiners is available here.
We congratulate Chelsea on this appointment and thank her for her ongoing contributions to Nevada’s legal profession, which includes leadership positions in the Appellate Litigation Section of the State Bar (Executive Committee Member At Large 2020-2025 and Executive Committee Secretary 2018-2020) and the Nevada Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (Board of Directors 2019-2024 and Executive Board Treasurer 2019-2024).
