Supporting the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation

McDonald Carano proudly continues our annual sponsorship of the Tournament of Hope fundraising event for the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit that helps enhance the quality of life for children with cancer and their families. Since the inaugural tournament in 2005, donors have raised more than $1.9 million to provide support at no cost to families. Matt Addison, Managing Partner of our Reno office, and Lindsay Knox, Vice President in our Government Affairs & Advocacy Group, will be participating in the August 28 fundraising tournament at Montreux Golf and Country Club. More information about NNCCF and the tournament is available here

McDonald Carano’s support of NNCCF also includes our annual sponsorship of the Dozers & Dirt fundraising event. Dozers & Dirt is a full day of hands-on fun for children (and adults!) who have the opportunity to operate more than 35 pieces of heavy construction equipment, experience up-close displays of the RAVEN helicopter, a bomb unit, police cars, fire trucks, and more. The event is on September 23 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm at the Rilite Aggregate Pit on 9208 Western Skies Drive in Reno. Information about attending Dozers & Dirt and donating to NNCCF is available here. NNCCF does not receive federal or state support and relies on generous community partners, individual donors, grants and event fundraisers.
