Scott Swain Receives 3rd Lawyer of the Year Award from Best Lawyers
McDonald Carano congratulates Scott Swain on receiving his third Lawyer of the Year award for the Southern Nevada region from The Best Lawyers in America. Scott received the Lawyer of the Year award in Tax Law in the 2027 edition and the Lawyer of the Year award in Trusts & Estates in 2019 and 2016. The Best Lawyers in America recognizes Scott in Trusts & Estates (2008-2027), Tax Law (2022-2027), Trust and Estates Litigation (2024-2027), Nonprofit/Charities Law (2025-2027), Corporate Law (2025-2027), Business Organizations (2026, 2027), and Closely Held Companies and Family Businesses Law (2026, 2027).
Lawyer of the Year honors are awarded to only one lawyer per practice area in a specific metropolitan region who achieves the “highest overall feedback from their peers, making it an exceptional distinction.” Recognition is based entirely on peer review that evaluates an attorney’s professional reputation, experience, and expertise.
Scott has also received his seventh consecutive highest Band 1 ranking in Private Wealth Law in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2026. Band 1 recognition is awarded to lawyers who are the “most highly regarded practitioners” based on research in the categories of “legal ability, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, professional conduct, experience, and effectiveness.” Chambers’ ranking process includes confidential surveys and interviews with clients who provided the following feedback about Scott to Chambers during the 2026 research process.
