Pat Lundvall Appointed to ABA Standing Committee on Specialization
McDonald Carano congratulates Pat Lundvall on her appointment to the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Specialization. The Committee helps inform the public about the benefits of board certified lawyers and provides information to lawyers on how to become board certified. The Committee also administers the accreditation process for programs offered by private organizations that certify lawyers as specialists in specific fields of law.
In 2001, Pat earned board certification in both Civil Trial Law and Civil Practice Advocacy from the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Pat received an NBTA President’s Award in 2023. Pat is also board certified as a Civil Trial Advocacy Specialist by the State Bar of Nevada, the first attorney to earn that certification in Nevada.
The ABA Standing Committee on Specialization currently accredits the following 19 specialty certification programs offered by eight private organizations.
Three Specialty Certification Programs: Business Bankruptcy; Consumer Bankruptcy; Creditors’ Rights
Two Specialty Certification Programs: Legal Professional Liability; Medical Professional Liability
One Specialty Certification Program: Privacy Law
One Specialty Certification Program: Juvenile Law – Child Welfare
One Specialty Certification Program: Estate Planning Law
Nine Specialty Certification Programs: Civil Practice Advocacy; Civil Trial Law; Criminal Trial Advocacy; Complex Litigation; Family Law Trial Advocacy; Immigration Law; Patent Litigation; Social Security Disability Law; Truck Accident Law
One Specialty Certification Program: DUI Defense Law
