Las Vegas (March 2, 2017) McDonald Carano announced today that Dennis Gutwald has joined the Firm’s Gaming & Administrative Law Group. Dennis has over 20 years of experience counseling premier gaming companies, banks, investment companies and high profile individuals on all aspects of gaming law and working with businesses requiring liquor licenses in Clark County, including nightclubs, restaurants, and taverns. He joins from the Las Vegas office of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck where he practiced for over 16 years. Prior to that service, Dennis spent seven years as a Senior Agent in the Investigations Division of the Nevada Gaming Control Board which regulates the State of Nevada’s multi-billion dollar gaming industry.
His diverse experience includes coordinating the license applications for the acquisition of gaming companies in multiple jurisdictions, establishing eSports contests for a Nevada casino, preparing the gaming, liquor and other business applications for the ground-up development of numerous Nevada businesses, preserving grandfathered liquor and gaming land use entitlements, and much more.
We welcome Dennis to our Gaming Law Practice Group where he will join our accomplished gaming partners, A.J. “Bud” Hicks and Greg Giordano. His skills and gaming experience are a perfect complement to the services we have been providing for many years to our gaming clients and will be a draw for new innovators in the gaming industry.
“In joining McDonald Carano, I see a remarkable opportunity to be a part of a robust and impressive gaming practice. Their platform allows my practice to grow in so many new ways and to work on cutting edge issues,” said Mr. Gutwald.
