McDonald Carano Attorney A.J. “Bud” Hicks Appointed to Governing Board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency by President Trump

May 22, 2018

Reno, NV – McDonald Carano is pleased to announce that President Donald J. Trump has appointed McDonald Carano Senior Counsel A.J. “Bud” Hicks to the Governing Board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA). This appointment is based on the recommendation of Mr. Hicks by Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval.

In a statement released by his office, Governor Sandoval said, “I am pleased that President Trump today announced the appointment of Bud Hicks to the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Mr. Hicks in a number of capacities, most recently as the President of the NV 150 Foundation. Mr. Hicks served on the California-Nevada Tahoe Basin Fire Commission after the devastating Angora fire and has been the President of the Glenbrook Homeowners Association. His love and knowledge of Lake Tahoe makes him a perfect member of the Governing Board, and I was pleased to recommend him to the President for this important appointment.”

“I am honored to be appointed to the Governing Board of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency by President Trump, and I would like to extend my gratitude to Governor Sandoval for recommending me for this position,” said Bud Hicks. “I look forward to working with the other members of the Planning Agency on their already impressive efforts to further improve the Tahoe area.”
