Laena St-Jules Joins McDonald Carano
McDonald Carano proudly announces that Laena St-Jules has joined McDonald Carano’s Reno office. She is a member of the Appellate Practice Group and Commercial & Complex Litigation Practice Group. Laena’s business litigation experience includes matters involving contract disputes, shareholder derivative actions, securities, bankruptcy, and insurance coverage. She has trial and appellate experience in both state and federal court.
In addition to over five years in private practice at multinational law firms in New York, Laena most recently served for six years in the Nevada Attorney General’s Office where she was lead counsel representing state agencies in state and federal court in matters relating to elections law, water law, and the First Amendment, among others. Laena also clerked for Judge Paul A. Crotty of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Laena earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Cornell Law School where she was Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy. She earned a M.A. in Modern Languages: French, Spanish, and German form the University of St Andrews in St Andrews, Scotland.
