Celebrating Over 75 Years of Serving Nevada’s Legal, Business, Government, and Civic Communities

Karyna Armstrong Presents on Pro Bono in Private Practice

National Pro Bono Week is October 19-25. During this week, organizations throughout the U.S. raise awareness about the need for and importance of free legal services for those who are unable to afford them. On October 20, Karyna Armstrong will participate in a panel discussion on pro bono in private practice. The luncheon program is sponsored by McDonald Carano and hosted by the Public Interest Law Association at William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada-Las Vegas. PILA is a student organization that works with students, faculty, and members of the legal community to raise awareness about public interest work and help create opportunities for law students.

The presentation is part of PILA’s annual celebration of Pro Bono Week. The panelists will describe their pro bono work, how they balance their time, and why pro bono work is important to them. Karyna will share her experience representing children through the Children’s Attorneys Project of the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. The program is held at Boyd School of Law. Attendance and lunch are complimentary.
