Celebrating Over 75 Years of Serving Nevada’s Legal, Business, Government, and Civic Communities

George Ogilvie Recognized as 100 Managing Partners You Need To Know

McDonald Carano congratulates George Ogilvie on being selected to Lawdragon’s 2026 list of 100 Managing Partners You Need To Know. The list was created to “recognize the most admired figures in law firm leadership … game changers … those who not only hold the title of leadership, but also do the job. Law firms are a tough business, and those who lead them well are rare.” (Please view George’s recognition profile here.)

The inaugural list was published in 2008, the second in 2025, and third in 2026. George is the only Firm Managing Partner of a Nevada law firm on the 2026 and 2025 lists. The majority of recognized law firm leaders are located in New York City, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C., along with three leaders in London and one in Frankfurt. Forty percent of law firms represented on the list are ranked among the AmLaw Global 100.

Lawdragon describes the 2026 Managing Partners as “impassioned, inclusive and represent a new era of what it looks like to lead a law firm. These leaders remind us of the critical importance of leaders willing to embrace a positive vision of the future and find ways to achieve it. All of which is made significantly more difficult by the hostile winds blowing through the global economy and the legal profession.”
