Celebrating Over 75 Years of Serving Nevada’s Legal, Business, Government, and Civic Communities

Amanda Yen Joins the Meritas Women’s Leadership Mentoring Program

McDonald Carano proudly announces and thanks Amanda Yen for participating as a mentor in the inaugural Women’s Leadership Mentoring Program at Meritas. The mentoring program was created by the Meritas Women’s Leadership Council to help women across the global Meritas network advance to leadership roles in law firms. Mentors and mentees in the program will also share ideas, experiences, and best practices. Amanda also currently serves on the Meritas U.S. Leadership Committee and, since 2015, has held numerous leadership roles on the Meritas Board of Directors and the Emerging Leaders Advisory Board. McDonald Carano is a 1990 founding member of Meritas, the premier global alliance of more than 170 law firms in over 90 countries.

The Meritas Women’s Leadership Council creates programs and initiatives designed to increase visibility, knowledge sharing, mentorship, and skills building to support women’s legal careers. The Women’s Leadership Council helps establish a community that celebrates the path to leadership for women attorneys in the Meritas network. For example, in addition to the 2025 inaugural Women’s Leadership Mentoring Program, in 2024 the inaugural Women’s Leadership Awards was created to “celebrate the outstanding leadership and achievements demonstrated by women leaders, future leaders, and allies from the Meritas network around the world.” Also in 2024, a new initiative was created named The Lady Behind the Label to focus on raising the profile of women leaders and promoting women as a “whole person” beyond their lawyering attributes by highlighting and celebrating both their professional and personal sides. The initiative helps deepen the connection with the incredible women across the global Meritas network.

We thank Amanda for her time, energy, and dedication to the leadership of Meritas.
