McDonald Carano proudly announces that Amanda Yen has been appointed to the U.S. Leadership Committee for Meritas, the premier global alliance of independent law firms. Amanda will serve a three-year term on the committee, which is comprised of representatives from 13 law firms across the United States. In addition to supporting the mission, values, and goals of Meritas, the U.S. Leadership Committee is responsible for strategic planning as well as member recruitment, retention, and development for the U.S. region. The Committee focuses on ensuring that member firms in the United States fully leverage the benefits of this worldwide network and draw on all member firms’ collective strengths and talents to provide excellent legal services to clients who utilize Meritas.
Amanda has been a long-time leader in the Meritas network and has served the organization in several capacities over the past 10 years. Amanda’s appointment to the U.S. Leadership Committee reflects the Meritas leadership’s recognition of her commitment and effectiveness. Amanda recently concluded a one-year term serving as an Honorary Director on the Board of Directors and her previous positions include serving as a member of the Board of Directors (2020-2023) and Board Nominating Committee (2022-2023), Chair of the Emerging Leaders Advisory Board (2019-2020), Chair-Elect of the Emerging Leaders Advisory Board (2018-2019), and member of the Emerging Leaders Advisory Board (2015-2018). Amanda has a deep understanding of Meritas and its mission.
McDonald Carano joined Meritas in 1990 as a founding member firm and we are the only Nevada firm serving the local needs of clients from more than 180 Meritas member firms in more than 90 countries. We congratulate Amanda on this prestigious appointment and we thank her for the time, energy and dedication required to contribute to the leadership of Meritas.
