The Firm has maintained an active environmental law practice for the past two decades, developing a strong and collegial relationship with the Nevada Divison of Environmental Protection and the local environmental agencies. We assist clients in environmental aspects of commercial transactions, including management and evaluation of environmental due diligence, environmental compliance and permitting. We counsel clients on the use of environmental assessments and checklists and help develop strategies for a coordinated team approach to effective due diligence.

We have represented clients in major complex environmental litigation including CERCLA and RCRA suits as well as EPA, State, and local enforcement actions. We assist clients in evaluating and environmental insurance coverage and in pursuing insurance for environmental claims. The Firm advises clients in water quality issues arising from the federal Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act. We provide assistance in environmental compliance and permitting, including air quality permits, site-specific and general NPDES permits, Section 404 permits, solid waste disposal permits, and Utility Environmental Protection Act permits. Members of the practice group have broad experience in all facets of the National Environmental Policy Act.
