Commercial & Complex Litigation
McDonald Carano Wilson's Commercial & Complex Litigation Practice Group conducts one of the most comprehensive and sophisticated litigation practices in Nevada. The firm's litigation attorneys include skilled appellate counsel, who are repeatedly retained for their marked success in the federal courts of appeals and in the Supreme Court of Nevada.
Because the litigation practice is in the business arena, our primary goal is the efficient and successful resolution of disputes. We work closely with clients to develop litigation strategies, objectives and budgets to ensure that the services we provide are cost-effective and contribute to the client's ultimate goals.
Our attorneys recognize that business objectives are sometimes better served by not going to trial. From the earliest stages and throughout the life of a case, we consult with our clients to determine whether a negotiated resolution will achieve a more prudent result, but go on to try any dispute if a negotiated resolution cannot be achieved.
Several members of the firm have gone on to become respected members of the federal and state judiciary. The firm's lawyers have been selected to serve as arbitrators and mediators through the American Arbitration Association and the Supreme Court of Nevada's Appellate Settlement program. Others have served and continue to serve on important committees working to enhance the bar and court system, including serving as Representative to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, participation on bench/bar committees to reform the legal process, membership in Inns of Courts, board positions on pro bono committees, as well as various civic and charitable organizations.
Many members of the Group have been selected by their peers for inclusion in the prestigious Best Lawyers in America®.
